Carlo Ponzini has been asked to renovate a unit of a semidetached
building in the countryside near Piacenza. Inside the
building, the pattern of the resin floor, delimiting the entrance hall
space and marking the way towards the first floor, places itself
at odds with the parquet floor covering the living and lunch
areas. Outside, the building has been treated with strict simplicity,
wisely using local materials such as bricks, wood, and the soft
colors of the countryside surrounding Piacenza.
